"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

Right, gang, finally time to get my act in gear and truly embrace the DeviantArt community. For all those chancing upon my page: "hello, and welcome". I'm not an artist by trade or hobby, so sadly I have no multicoloured wonders with which to decorate this page. I am however a writer on a mission to find himself a collaborator. See, I'm working on a comic, a comic I would very much like to make a reality. Sadly, this can't happen unless I find myself an artist with whom to create a masterpiece (or something very much like one). As a wise man once told me however, this "ain't going to happen unless I ask. The worst I can do is ask." And so, here I am with hand on heart, asking. I won't go into the exact details here, but if anyone out there - perhaps you're an artist looking for a break into the industry, perhaps you're an old hand looking for something new to try out - would be at all interested in working together on an exciting, comedic and fantastical take on comicbook storytelling (me blowing my own trumpet!) then why not drop me a line and perhaps we can discuss matters further. I would be happy to send you some samples of my script, and, should they be to your liking, maybe we can discuss some kind of collaboration. Anyhow, that's the deal, folks.
